Leslie Pearl (born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) was a pop\rock singer-songwriter who wrote cover song hits for artists such as Crystal Gayle, Kenny Rogers and Karen Carpenter. She also wrote jingles for Folgers Coffee, Pepsi, Ford and Gillette.
In 1982, she released her only album, “Words & Music” on RCA Records. It’s unknown how or if the album ever charted.
She scored a hit with her one and only single, “If The Love Fits Wear It” which peaked at #28 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #7 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart.
The follow-up single from the album “The Ones Who Turns Me On” failed to make much impact on the charts and after that, it seemed as if Leslie had faded into obscurity. Not much has been heard from her since the ’80s.
