3rd Avenue were an R&B trio from Baton Rouge, Louisiana that consisted of members Maurice Pearl, Eric Robinson, and Brad Nelson. Not much information is given about them, but they were signed to Solar Records.

In 1992, the trio released their only album, “Let’s Talk About Love.” It’s unknown how or if the album ever charted.

The first single, “I’ve Gotta Have It” peaked at #66 on Billboard’s R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 7 weeks, becoming their highest chart appearance to date.

The title song managed to peak at #58 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 6 weeks. After that, it seemed as if 3rd Avenue had faded into obscurity.
