Skindeep was an R&B trio from Brooklyn, New York that consisted of members Tracy Hester, Rico Desire and Rick Gilsaint. In 1996, they released their debut album, “Get U Open” on PolyGram Records. It’s unknown how or if the album ever charted. The first single from “No More Games” (featuring rapper Lil Kim) peaked at #92 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #39 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 13 weeks.

The follow-up single, “Everybody” peaked at #86 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 7 weeks.

After that, it seemed as if Skindeep had faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from them since.
