Stevie B (born Steven Bernard Hill in 1958 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida) is a male freestyle\dance\pop singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is known as the “King of Freestyle.” Before starting his music career, Stevie B had various jobs from washing cars to serving fast food.

In 1987, Stevie B released his first single, “Party Your Body” which peaked at #7 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart and #40 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play Singles chart.

In 1988, Stevie B released his debut album, “Party Your Body” on LMR Records. The album peaked at #78 on the Billboard 200 and #63 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart.

The second single released from the album, “Dreamin’ of Love” peaked at #80 on the Billboard Hot 100, #8 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart, and #23 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play Singles chart.

The last single from the album, “Spring Love (Come Back to Me)” peaked at #43 on the Billboard Hot 100, #2 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart, and #5 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play chart.

During that same year, Stevie B released his second album, “In My Eyes” which peaked at #75 on the Billboard 200 and R&B Albums chart.

The first single released from the album, “I Wanna Be the One” peaked at #32 on the Billboard Hot 100, #12 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart, and #39 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play chart.

The follow-up single, “In My Eyes” peaked at #37 on the Billboard Hot 100, #11 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart, and #21 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play chart.

The third single, “Girl I Am Searching For You” peaked at #56 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #17 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart. The last single released from the album, “Love Me For Life” peaked at #29 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 1989, Stevie was featured on freestyle singer Jaya’s single, “If You Leave Me Now.”

In 1990, Stevie B released his third album, “Love & Emotion” which peaked at #54 on the Billboard 200 and #81 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart.

The title song managed to peak at #15 on the Billboard Hot 100, #21 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart, and #43 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play Singles chart.

The second single, “Because I Love You (The Postman Song)” became Stevie B’s biggest hit, peaking at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard’s Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart. The song was also successful in Australia, Canada, Germany, France, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The single was certified Gold by the RIAA on April 12, 1990.

The third single, “I’ll Be By Your Side” peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100. The last single, “Forever More” peaked at #96 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In 1992, Stevie B released his fourth album, “Healing” which failed to chart at all on the Billboard 200 chart. The only single to chart was “Pump That Body” which peaked at #15 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart.

In 1994, Stevie B released his fifth album, “Funky Melody” which also failed to chart at all on the Billboard 200. The single, “Dream About You\Funky Melody” peaked at #29 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In 1996, Stevie B released his sixth album, “Finally” which failed to make the charts at all and it’s unknown how or if any singles managed to chart on the Billboard charts.

In 1998, Stevie B released his seventh album, “Right Here Right Now.” The album didn’t appear to make any impact on the charts whatsoever.

In 2000, Stevie B released his eighth album, “It’s So Good.” It’s unknown how much impact the album had in the United States, but it appeared to be successful in Germany.

In 2006, Stevie B released his ninth album, “This Time.” It’s unknown how or if the album was successful.

In August of 2009, Stevie B released his tenth and current album to date, “The Terminator.” The album features a remixed version of “Spring Love” featuring rapper Pitbull.

Stevie B continues to perform live and release music. On September 30, 2011, Stevie B was arrested in Springfield, Massachussetts after one of his concerts for unpaid child support, owing $420,000.
