The Adventures of Stevie V were a British dance group from Bedfordshire, England that consisted of producer Stevie Vincent, singer Melodie Washington, and multi-instrumentalist Mick Walsh.

In 1990, they released their self-titled debut album on Mercury Records. It’s unknown how or if the album ever charted.

Their biggest hit to date, “Dirty Cash (Money Talks)” peaked at #2 on the UK Singles chart. In the United States, the song peaked at #25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the dance charts. The song was co-written by Mick Walsh.

The follow-up single, “Body Language” peaked at #25 on the UK Singles chart, but missed the charts in the US. The third single from the album, “Jealousy” peaked at #58 on the UK Singles chart. In the US, the song peaked at #94 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on Billboard’s dance charts. The last single from the album, “That’s The Way It Is” failed to make the charts. satisfymeIn 1993, the group released their follow-up album “Satisfy Me.” It’s unknown how or if the album made the charts.

In 1993, The Adventures of Stevie V released the single, “Push 2 the Limit.” It’s unknown how or if the song ever charted. A year later, another single “Paradise” was released, but once again, it’s unknown how or if the song ever made the charts.

In 1997, a remix of “Dirty Cash (Money Talks)” was released and managed to peak at #69 on the UK Singles chart for a week.

Today, Stevie¬†Vincent is a music tech teacher at Bedford College. Mick scored another #1 dance hit with the song “Set Me Free” by Clubland and currently lives in New York. In 1995, Melody Washington released a solo single, “Love Gone Wild.” It’s unknown how or if it made the charts.
