Chuck Stanley (born in Queens, New York) was an R&B singer from the ’80s. Not much information is given about him, but he was signed to the Def Jam Recordings label.

In 1987, Chuck released his debut album “Finer Things in Life” which peaked at #49 on Billboard’s Top R&B\Hip-Hop Albums chart.

The first single released from the album “Day By Day” peaked at #29 on Billboard’s Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 14 weeks. Chuck went on tour with R&B singers Oran “Juice” Jones and Tashan.

The follow-up single “Jammin to the Bells” peaked at #19 on Billboard’s Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 12 weeks, making it Chuck’s highest chart appearance to date.

The last two singles, “The Finer Things in Life” and a remixed version of “Make You Mine Tonight” featuring Alyson Williams, peaked at #66 on Billboard’s Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 8 weeks.

Chuck’s last musical appearance was on Alyson Williams’ single “I Second That Emotion” in 1989. After that, nothing much was heard from Chuck since and it appears he has faded into obscurity.
