Tammy Lucas was a dance/R&B singer-songwriter that started her singing career in the ’80s. She has written songs for artists such as the Gyrlz, Starpoint, Blackstreet, SWV, Frankie Knuckles and Andre De Lange.


In 1986, she released the single “Hey Boy” on Supertronics Records. The song managed to peak at #18 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.


In 1992, Tammy was featured on Teddy Riley’s single “Is it Good to You” from the “Juice” movie soundtrack which peaked at #50 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 8 weeks.. She even co-wrote the song with Teddy.

Tammy made vocal appearances on songs by artists such as Guy, Starpoint, Heavy D. & the Boyz, Wreckx-N-Effect, A Tribe Called Quest, Noreaga, Guru, Cuban Link, Jeremy Sylvester, N.E.R.D., Blackstreet, Dirty South, and Heather B.

These days, it is unknown what Tammy Lucas is doing today. It appears she has faded into obscurity.
