imageLe Click was a Eurodance duo from Germany that was formed by record producer Frank Farian. The duo consisted of Swedish singer\actress Kayo Shekoni and singer\rapper Robert Haynes.
imageIn 1995, they released their first single “Tonight Is the Night” which originally peaked at #89 on the Billboard Hot 100, but by the next year, the song peaked at #68 on the Billboard Hot 100, #23 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart and #22 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play Singles chart.

The song also peaked at #35 on Billboard’s Top 40 Mainstream chart in 1997 and featured vocals by Melanie Thornton (of music duo La Bouche). imageOn July 29, 1997, Le Click released their only album “Tonight is the Night” (or “Le Click Featuring Kayo” in the United States).

The album peaked at #49 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart and #95 in Germany. imageThe duo’s second single “Call Me” peaked at #35 on the Billboard Hot 100, #40 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Top 40 chart, #4 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play Singles chart and #6 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart.

The song was also Le Click’s only chart appearance in the United Kingdom, peaking at #38 on the UK Singles chart. imageThe third single from the album “Don’t Go” peaked at #62 on the Billboard Hot 100, #19 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play Singles chart and #13 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart.
imageThe last single from the album “Heaven’s Got to Be Better” failed to make the charts at all. By 1998, the duo had disbanded.

These days, Kayo Shekoni works as a skin therapist, but continues to work in show business.

She also works as a DJ, co-runs a nightclub and performs with a disco & cocktail jazz band called Cotton Club. She is also a member of the group Afro-Dite.

It’s unknown what Robert Haynes is up to these days.
