Eden’s Crush was a pop girl group from the 2000s that consisted of members Ana Maria Lombo (born on May 8, 1978 in Medellin, Colombia), Ivette Sosa (born Ivette Martiza Sosa on September 15, 1976 in Edison, New Jersey), Maile Misajon (born on September 17, 1976 in Long Beach, California), Nicole Scherzinger (born Nicole Elikolani Valiente Prescovia Scherzinger on June 29, 1978 in Honolulu, Hawaii) & Rosanna Tavarez (born on February 10, 1977 in New York City, New York).

The group was formed in late 2000 after hundreds of girls competed on the WB reality series “Popstars” and was narrowed down to five finalists: Ivette, Nicole, Maile, Ana Maria & Rosanna over several prime-time episodes.

Due to the hours of network TV exposure the group had received, Warner Bros.\Sire Records signed Eden’s Crush to a recording contract before the band was even named or had finalized its membership. image

In March of 2001, the group’s first single “Get Over Yourself” became a hit, peaking at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts in Canada.

The song also peaked at #28 on Billboard’s Top 40 Mainstream chart & #31 on Billboard’s Top 40 Tracks chart. imageIn May of 2001, Eden’s Crush released their debut album “Popstars” which peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200, #9 on Billboard’s Top Internet Albums chart and #17 on Billboard’s Top Canadian Albums chart.

It was also certified Gold by the RIAA.

In 2001, the group appeared on *NSync’s “Pop Odyssey” tour & Jessica Simpson’s “DreamChaser” tour. They also guest-starred on “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.” imageTheir follow-up single “Love This Way” received some radio airplay, but failed to match the success of the previous single.

By the end of 2002, their record company London-Sire Records folded & eventually, Eden’s Crush went their separate ways.

Nicole went on to have a successful career as lead singer of pop group The Pussycat Dolls.

These days, she has gained success as a solo artist & on television.

Rosanna went on to become a television personality for networks such as TV Guide & Telemundo and co-hosted “On Air With Ryan Seacrest.”

These days, she is now a VJ for NowThisNews and also does yoga & dance.

Ivette appeared in the 2003 film “Chasing Papi” and guest-starred on the Disney Channel series “Even Stevens” along with appearing in a few commercials as well.

She even wrote her own one-woman cabaret show called “Confessions of a Former Pop Star.” She also appeared in the Broadway play “Latinologues” in 2005 and in the off-Broadway show “Yo Soy Latina” in 2006.

Ivette was last seen judging a youth talent show at Edison Township’s Annual Family Festival, but it’s unknown what other things she is up to these days.

These days, Maile is pursuing a solo music career & resides in Nashville, Tennessee. She is also a wife & mother.

Ana Maria was last heard to be working on her own solo material & pursuing a degree, but it’s unknown what she’s up to these days.
