Eyra Gail (born in Miami, Florida) was a female dance singer from the early 2000s. After pursuing ballet and participating in various musicals in school, Eyra decided to pursue a music career.
In February of 2002, her version of Bryan Adams’ song “Heaven” peaked at #3 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart.
During that same year, she released her debut (and only) self-titled album on Artemis Records.
Eyra’s follow-up single, a cover version of Cheap Trick’s song “The Flame” failed to make any impact on the charts at all.
The last single, a cover version of Rumorz’s song “Tell Me It’s a Lie” also flopped. According to the Isle of Deserted Pop Stars blog, Eyra released a song in 2006 called “Love is On the Way.”
These days, it seems as if Eyra has faded into obscurity. It’s unknown what she’s up to these days.
