Darlene D. (born in New Haven, Connecticut) was a freestyle\dance singer from the early ’90s. She learned how to play the piano when she was only 6 years old.

In 1990, her song “Tricky Ricky” was featured on TNA Records’ “The Compliation” album and received good reception in clubs in New York, Boston and Connecticut. She was even the opening act for freestyle singer Corina.
safari hunterA year later in 1991, Darlene D. released her debut (and only) album “Safari Hunter” on TNA Records. It’s unknown how or if the album ever charted at all.
i like youThe only single released from the album was “I Like You” which didn’t appear to make much impact on the charts.

After that, it seems as if Darlene D. has faded into obscurity. It’s unknown what she’s up to these days.
