Kakko (born Kakko Suzuki on September 23, 1969 in Osaka, Japan) was a Japanese female pop singer from the early ’90s.
When she was 17 years old, Kakko attended an American school in Kobe, Japan where she was discovered by a scout from CBS Records. She later moved to the United Kingdom where she attended a music school in London before attracting the attention of music producers Stock, Aitken and Waterman.
In 1990, she released her debut single “We Should Be Dancing” which flopped, peaking at #101 on the U.K. Singles chart.
Her follow-up single “What Kind of Fool” (which was produced by Stock, Aitken & Waterman) also failed to make any impact on the charts at all.
In 1991, Kakko returned to Japan and began working under the stage name “Anju Suzuki” and since then, she has appeared in television dramas & commercials in Japan.
