Tam Tam (Last Entry for 2010)

Tam Tam (born Tammy Hairston in Boston, Massachusetts) is a hip hop rapper from the early ’90s. Not much background information is given about this artist, but she was signed to Island Records.
In 1991, she released her debut and only studio album, “Do It Tam Tam”. The album failed to make any impact on the album charts at all.
The title song managed to peak at #74 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 7 weeks.

Afterwards, it seems as if Tam Tam has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from her since the ’90s.

The College Boyz were a hip-hop/rap group from the 90s whose members consisted of R.O.M. (born Romany Romanic Malco, Jr on November 18, 1968 in Brooklyn, New York), Squeak, B. Selector and DJ Cue. They originally called themselves RGM before changing it to the College Boyz.

In 1992, they released their debut album “Radio Fusion Radio” which peaked at #118 on the Billboard 200, #2 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart and #25 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart.

The first single, “Victim of the Ghetto” peaked at #68 on the Billboard Hot 100, #4 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Singles chart, #28 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart and #28 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 15 weeks.

The second single “Hollywood Paradox” peaked at #10 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Singles chart and #65 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 8 weeks. The last single from the album “Humpin'” peaked at #14 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Singles chart.

In 1994, the College Boyz released their sophomore album “Nuttin’ Less, Nuttin’ Mo” which peaked at #80 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart.

The only single to chart was “Rollin'” which managed to peak at #49 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Singles chart. After that, the group disbanded.

These days, Romany Malco now works as an actor. As for the other members, it is unknown what they are up to today.

Jibri Wise One

Jibri Wise One was a male hip-hop rapper from the early 90’s. He only released one album and then soon faded into obscurity.
In 1990, Jibri Wise One released his self-titled debut album on Ear Candy Records. The album peaked at #34 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart.
Jibri Wise One’s biggest hit to date, “The House the Dog Built” topped Billboard’s Rap Singles chart. It’s unknown if the single made it to the Billboard Hot 100.
Jibri Wise One released his second single, “I’ll Be There For You,” but it’s unknown how or if the single charted. After that, it seemed as if Jibri Wise One has faded into obscurity.

Traci Vaughn is a freestyle\dance music singer from the late ’80s. Not much information is given about this artist, but she was signed to the Metropolitan Recording Corporation record label.

In 1989, she released her only single, “Days Gone By” which didn’t make any music charts at all. Afterwards, it seems as if Traci has faded into obscurity; nothing much has been heard from her since the ’80s

Heather Mullen

Heather Mullen was a female pop/folk music singer from the early 1990s. Not much information is given about her, but she was signed to the EastWest Records record label.
In 1991, Heather released her self-titled debut album. The album contained pop-folk music and her voice was reminicent of singer Joni Mitchell. After that, it seemed as if she has faded into obscurity and it’s unknown what she’s currently up to these days.

Angela Deluca is a freestyle\dance music singer from the ’90s. Not much information is given about this artist, but she was signed to Harmon Street Records.

In 1992, she released her only single “This Time Don’t Turn Away”. It’s unknown how or if the single made any impact on the charts.

Afterwards, it seemed as if Angela has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from her since the ’90s.

Geri Logan

Geri Logan (born Geraldine Juanita Gonzalez from South Central Los Angeles, California) is a female R&B/pop singer from the ’80s.

In the 70s, Geri performed in a few bands. She met music producer Hadley Morell in the early ’80s, who was able to obtain a recording contract for her with MCA Records.

In 1982, she released her one and only album, “Come and Get It” which didn’t appear to make the Billboard charts at all. The album consisted mostly of R&B songs and according to Geri, the label thought she was a good R&B singer, but she didn’t sound “black enough” nor “white enough.” (Go figure.

After that, Geri left MCA Records. In the late ’90s, she had several releases on an independent record label, Our Town Records. During that time, she changed the spelling of her first name to “Geree” and released the album, “Reflections of Love” in 1995.

In 1997, Geree released her self-titled 4-song EP on R-Town Records and released her sophomore album, “Through These Eyes” in 1999.

Later on, she focused on Christian music and singing in church. In the early 2000s, Geree was in a band called Smooth and later in a band called Geree and the Groove. These days, it appears that she is still active as a singer.

The Jamaica Girls

The Jamaica Girls were a dance music trio from the ’80s that consisted of singers Brenda Hilliard, Deborah McGriff and Rita Saunders. Not much background information is given about them, but all three women have provided vocals on songs by various artists.
In 1982, they released their debut single, “Rock the Beat” on the Becket Records label which didn’t make any music charts.
In 1983, The Jamaica Girls released their second single, “Need Somebody New” on Sleeping Bag Records which peaked at #23 on Billboard’s Dance\Disco Top 80 chart, staying on the chart for 11 weeks.
In 1986, the trio released their last single to date, “On the Move” on the Sire record label. The song peaked at #22 on Billboard’s Hot Dance\Disco Club Play chart, staying on the chart for 6 weeks.

Afterwards, nothing much has been heard from The Jamaica Girls since the ’80s and it appears as if they faded into obscurity.

Spanish Prince was a hip-hop rapper from the late 80s.. Not a lot of information on this music act, but they were signed to 4th & Broadway Records.

In 1987, Spanish Prince released the single “Dance Everybody Dance,” but it didn’t appear to go anywhere on the charts.

After that, it seemed as if Spanish Prince had faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from him since.

Janice

Janice (born Janice Bonner in Oxford, Massachusetts) is an R&B\dance music singer from the mid-’80s. Not much background information is given about this artist.

In 1986, she released her debut single, “Bye Bye” on the Checkpoint Records label. The song peaked at #46 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart and #48 on Billboard’s Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 11 weeks.
In 1987, Janice released her follow-up single, “Wanna Be With You” on the 4th & Broadway record label which didn’t make the charts at all. Afterwards, nothing much was heard from her and it appears as if she has faded into obscurity.
