Paperdolls

Paperdolls was a British pop music girl group from the ’90s that consisted of members Debbie Cresswell, Hollie Johnson and Lucy Pargeter (born on March 1, 1977 in Nottingham, England).
In 1998, they released their only single, “Gonna Make You Blush” which managed to peak at #65 on the UK Singles Chart, staying on the chart for 2 weeks. The group also went on tour with pop music group, Boyzone.

Afterwards, it seems as if Paperdolls had faded into obscurity. These days (according to research), Lucy Pargeter is an actress, most notably on the British soap opera, “Emmerdale”. It’s unknown what Debbie Cresswell and Hollie Johnson are currently up to these days.

MWC

MWC (short for Men With Charm) were an R&B music trio from the early ’90s. The members consisted of Kyle B. Bown, Ryan S. Corbin and Leslie McElveen.
In 1992, they released their self-titled and only studio album on JRS Records. Their debut single, “Never Forget” peaked at #87 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 3 weeks.
The follow-up single from the album, “Shari” failed to make the charts at all. Afterwards, it seemed as if MWC faded into obscurity. It’s unknown what the members of the trio are currently up to these days.

P.J.

P.J. is an independent R&B music singer from the mid-’90s. Not much information is given about this artist, but she was signed to the Rose Capital Records label.
In 1996, she released her only studio album, “It’s My Turn”. It’s unknown how successful the album was. Afterwards, it seems as if P.J. has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from her since the ’90s.

Donna Meade

Donna Meade (born in 1953 in Chase City, Virginia) is a country music singer from the late ’80s.

In 1973, she was a cast member of the revival of the Old Dominion Barn Dance in Richmond, Virginia. In 1981, she relocated to Nashville, Tennessee where she began appearing on local & national television while headlining in the World Famous Stockyard’s Bullpen Lounge.
Donna later signed a record deal with Mercury Records and a songwriting deal with music publisher Sony/Tree. In 1987, she released her debut single, “Be Serious”. A year later, the song peaked at #63 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, staying on chart for 8 weeks.
In 1988, she released her debut studio album, “Love’s Last Stand”. The title song peaked at #50 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, staying on the chart for 9 weeks and making it her highest charting single to date.
The third single, “Congratulations” peaked at #69 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, staying on the chart for 4 weeks. The last single released from the album, “Leavin’ On Your Mind” peaked at #78 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, staying on the chart for 3 weeks.
In 1989, Donna released the single, “When He Leaves You” which peaked at #57 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, staying on the chart for 7 weeks.
Her last charting single to date, “Cry Baby” peaked at #61 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, staying on the chart for 4 weeks.

She later appeared on the “Nashville Now Show” where she met country singer and creator of the Jimmy Dean sausage brand, Jimmy Dean. For two decades, Donna and Jimmy lived in Richmond, Virginia where they performed together, wrote songs and traveled the world promoting Jimmy Dean Foods.

After Jimmy Dean’s death in 2010, Donna revived the Old Dominion Barn Dance where she currently works as the hostess, singer and producer.

Candy Hill

Candy Hill was an R&B music trio from Los Angeles, California that consisted of members Casha D (born Casha Darjean), Loui-V (born Vatana Shaw) and OC (born Ociris Gomez).

Prior to the trio’s formation, the girls were in and out of various music groups during their teen years. In 2006, they were featured on rap duo 2XL’s song, “Magic City”. Afterwards, they were signed to a record deal with Universal/Republic Records to record two songs.

Due to their record label paying them a small advance to help cover their recording expenses, the trio kept their day jobs working at an insurance company and they did other vocal work in order to pay rent for the house that they were living in together.
In 2007, Candy Hill released their debut single, “Juicy” which didn’t appear to make any impact on the music charts at all nor did their follow-up single, “Spare”. Afterwards, it seemed as if they disbanded.

In 2008, Casha Darjean was featured on rapper Yung Berg’s single, “The Business”. According to research, she gave birth to a daughter in 2015.

Vatana Shaw currently works at the United Talent Agency in Beverly Hills, California as the Head of Web3 Music Brand Partnerships. It’s unknown what Osiris Gomez is currently up to thse days.

Omero Mumba (born Omero James Mumba on July 2, 1989 in Dublin, Ireland) is a former hip-hop artist and actor from the 2000s. He is the younger brother of singer Samantha Mumba.

In 1995, he made his acting debut on the television series, “The Governor”. In 2000, he was featured on Samantha’s debut album, “Gotta Tell You” on the track, “The Boy”. When Omero was 13 years old, he signed a record contract with Polydor Records.
In 2002, he released his debut and only single, “Lil’ Big Man” which peaked at #42 on the UK Singles Chart and #16 on the Irish Singles Chart. The song was featured on the compliation album, “Now That’s What I Call Music! 52”.

During that same year, he and Samantha appeared in the film version of H.G. Wells’ 1895 novel, “The Time Machine”. Afterwards, nothing much was heard from Omero until 2009 when he had a minor role in the film, “3 Crosses”.

In 2010, he wrote and directed a music video for Bruneian singer Hill Zaini called “Stay in the Middle”. The video received a nomination for “Most Mind-Blowing Music Video” at the Asia Pacific Voice Independent Music Awards where it came in third place.

Since then, it appears as if Omero has faded into obscurity. It’s unknown what he’s currently up to these days.
