Ironic was a hip-hop artist from the ’90s. Not much information is given about him, but he was signed to Raging Bull Records.
In 1995, he released his only album “De Vallejo.” It’s unknown how or if it made the album charts at all.
His only single “Tha’ Potion” failed to make any impact on the charts at all.
After that, it seems as if Ironic has faded into obscurity. His whereabouts are unknown.
Tha’ Rayne was a female R&B group from the 2000s that was founded by Naughty By Nature’s KayGee.
The original line-up consisted of Elizabeth “Yummy” Bingham (born on January 7, 1986 in South Jamaica, Queens, New York), Shaquana “Quana” Elam and Tina “Tina-J” Jenkins.
In 2002, they appeared on R&B singer Jaheim’s single “Fabulous” which peaked at #28 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #7 on Billboard’s Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.
The group became a duo after Tina-J left and they signed to Arista Records in 2001.
In August of 2002, DJ Michelle “DJ Myche Luv” Colon was added to Tha’ Rayne.
During that same year, they released three singles: “No Love”, “Rock Wit Me” and “Kiss Me” (featuring rapper Lupe Fiasco). It’s unknown how or if the singles ever made the charts at all.
In January of 2003, DJ Myche Luv was replaced by Qiana “DJ Qui” Drew.
In 2003, Tha Rayne released the single “Didn’t You Know” which managed to peak at #76 on Billboard’s Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart, staying on the chart for 14 weeks.
Due to the low performance of “Didn’t You Know,” Tha’ Rayne’s debut album “Reign Supreme” was delayed and eventually shelved.
After Arista Records merged into Sony BMG in early 2004 Â and Antonio “L.A.” Reid (who helped them get a record deal with Arista) was fired, many of Reid’s artists were dropped from the label including Tha’ Rayne.
Later, Tha’ Rayne decided to go their separate ways with each member pursuing a solo career, but KayGee was able to convince Quana to reform the group with DJ Myche Luv and new member Hadiya “Deeyah” Nelson.
The new version of Tha’ Rayne recorded a demo, but they disbanded in August of 2005.
Yummy Bingham released her debut solo album in 2006. She has also written & recorded music for various artists. After giving birth to her daughter in September of 2007, she took a hiatus from the music business to dabble in Gospel & inspirational music, but in 2010, she returned to performing secular R&B music.
These days, Yummy continues to be active as a solo artist and in 2015, she released a single called “Hard to Love.”
Shaquana Elam changed her stage name to “Quana BelleVoix” and pursued a solo music career after Tha’ Rayne disbanded, but it’s unknown what she’s up to these days.
In 2007, Tina Jenkins released a song called “U Can” under the name “Tina J.,” but it’s unknown what she’s up to these days.
It’s unknown about the whereabouts of the other members of Tha’ Rayne and it appears as if they’ve faded into obscurity.
