JG (from Chicago) was a male hip-hop rapper from the ’90s. Not much information is given about him, but he signed to Gasoline Alley Records.

In 1993, he released the single “Put Down the Guns.” Despite the music video for the single receiving some airplay, the single didn’t appear to make the charts.

After that, it seems as if JG has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from him since the ’90s.

Ebony Vibe Everlasting (E.V.E.)

Ebony Vibe Everlasting (or E.V.E.) was a female R&B group from the ’90s that consisted of Gina Gomez, Edie-May Grant, Jenisa Garland and Mia Ambrester. Gina and Mia had each pursued solo careers before joining the group. In 1994, the group released their debut (and only) album “Good Life” on MCA Records. It’s unknown how or if the album made the charts. The first single “Groove of Love” peaked at #75 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 14 weeks and #14 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music/Club Play Singles chart. The follow-up singles, the title song and “Trip Around Your Body” didn’t appear to make much impact on the charts.

E.V.E. released their last single “We Are Family” in 1995 before fading into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from the group since.

Gina Go Go

Gina Go Go (born Gina Gomez) was a female pop/dance singer from the late ’80s. Not much information is given about her, but she was signed to Capitol Records. In 1989, Gina released her debut album “Sweet Surrender.” It’s unknown how or if the album made the charts. The first single “I Can’t Face the Fact” peaked at #78 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #37 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music/Club Play Singles chart. The follow-up single “The Only One (Gotta Be)” failed to make the charts at all. Gina later wrote songs for Kashif & Sheena Easton.

In 1994, she became a member of short-lived female R&B group Ebony Vibe Everlasting. After the group faded into obscurity, so did Gina. It’s unknown what she is up to today.

One 2 Many

One 2 Many was a Norwegian pop band from the late ’80s that consisted of singer Camilla Grieshel, keyboardist Dag Kolsrud and guitarist Jan Gisle Ytterdal. In 1988, they released their only album “Mirror” on A&M Records. It’s unknown how or if the album charted.

The first single “Downtown” topped the charts in Norway and was moderately successful in the Netherlands. In the U.K., the song peaked at #43 on the U.K. Singles chart.

In the U.S., it peaked at #37 on the Billboard Hot 100, #30 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music/Club Play Singles chart, #29 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart and #18 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart. The follow-up singles “Another Man,” “Writing on the Wall” and “Nearly There” failed to make much impact on the charts. By 1989, One 2 Many disbanded.

Dag Kolsrud went on to join the band Guys in Disguise and later went on to have a solo career. He later became the musical director for A-Ha’s world tour.

Camilla Griehsel married U.K. singer Colin Vearncombe (from the band Black) in 1990. These days, she continues to be active in the music business, touring along with her husband. It is unknown what Jan Gisle Ytterdal is up to these days.

Mendy Lee

Mendy Lee was a female R&B singer from the late ’80s/early ’90s. She has done vocals for artists such as Bunny DeBarge, Natalie Cole, Thomas Dolby and Martika. In 1987, Mendy released her first single “You (Find Me Another Man)” on Joz Records. It’s unknown how or if the single made the charts. A year later, Mendy released two more singles “Call My Bluff” and “Wishing on a Star” which also didn’t appear to make the charts. In 1990, Mendy released her self-titled debut album on Jacksons Records. The album didn’t appear to generate much success. Her last musical appearance was on Masterboy’s 1991 single “I Need Your Love.”

After that, it seems as if Mendy Lee has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from her since.

Woods Empire

Woods Empire was a family R&B group from Diamond Bar, California that consisted of the Woods family: Linda, Rhonda, Iris, Judy and Tommy. In 1980, the group released their first single “The Boogie’s Gonna Get You” on Tabu Records. It’s unknown how or if the single made the chart. In 1981, Woods Empire released their debut album “Universal Love.” It’s unknown how or if the album charted. The group’s second single “Sweet Delight” peaked at #68 on Billboard’s Hot Soul Singles chart, staying on the chart for 7 weeks. In 1982, Woods Empire released two more singles “Come On Give Me Love” and “Love Makes the World Go ‘Round” which failed to make the Billboard charts at all.

After that, it seems as if Woods Empire has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from them since.

III Most Wanted

III Most Wanted was a hip-hop/rap duo from the late ’80s that consisted of Eric “Mr. Action” Pena,  James “D.V.S.” Greco and Omar “Sharif” Lindsey. Not much information is given about them, but they were signed to Fever Records. In 1989, II Most Wanted released their only self-titled album. It’s unknown how or if the album made the charts. The only single released from the album was “Calm Down.” Like the album, it’s unknown how or if the single made the charts. After that, it seemed as if III Most Wanted faded into obscurity.

Mister McGee

Mister McGee was a male R&B singer from the early ’90s. Not much information is given about him, but he was signed to Fraternity Records.

In 1992, he released his only single “You’re What I’m Lookin For/Sue.” It’s unknown how or if it made the charts at all.

After that, it seems as if Mister McGhee has faded into obscurity. Not much has been heard from him since.

Lynda Seals

Lynda Seals was a female R&B singer from the early ’80s. Not much information is given about her, but she was signed to Fraternity Records.

In 1980, Lynda released the single “Skinny Dippin’/Head Start.” It’s unknown how or if the single charted.

After that, it seems as if Lynda has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from her since the ’80s.

Rick Wes

 
Rick Wes (born Craig Gendreau) was a former pop singer from the early ’90s. He was discovered by Maurice Starr (who was well known for working with groups such as New Edition, New Kids on the Block and Perfect Gentlemen). In 1990, Rick released his debut album “North, South, East and Wes” on Columbia Records. The album was a flop, failing to make the Billboard music charts at all.Even “Entertainment Weekly” named Rick’s debut album the worst album of 1990. The title song and “Don’tchu Wanna Rock” were released as singles, but they failed to make the Billboard charts at all. In 1991, Rick released his sophomore album “Possession” which like his debut album flopped as well. After that, it seemed as if Rick had faded into obscurity, but these days (according to a comment I received), he works at Flash Global in Fall River, Massachussetts.
