Tracie Daves

Tracie Daves is a dance music singer from the early ’90s. Not much information is given about this artist, but she was signed to the Relativity record label.

In 1992, she released her only single, “We Can Make It” which peaked at #3 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play chart, staying on the chart for 11 weeks.

Afterwards, it seems as if Tracie has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from her since the ’90s.

Helen Darling (born on May 1, 1965 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) is a country music singer from the ’90s.

Helen began her career as a jingle singer in Chicago, Illinois for TV and radio commercials such as McDonald’s, 7-Up and Ford. After moving to Nashville in 1993, she began singing demos as well as providing backup vocals for artists such as Garth Brooks and Ron Moore. Helen would later sign a record deal with MCA\Decca Records.
In 1995, she released her self-titled debut album which didn’t appear to make any impact on the charts. The album featured appearances from singers such as Garth Brooks, Delbert McClinton and Lee Roy Parnell.
The lead single, “Jenny Come Back” peaked at #69 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, staying on the chart for 3 weeks. It also peaked at #86 on the country music charts in Canada.
The follow-up single from the album, “I Haven’t Found It Yet” failed to make any impact on the charts at all.

In 1996, Helen and singer Danny Frazier recorded the track, “I Will Always Be With You” for the animated film, “All Dogs Go to Heaven 2”. She was also featured on the soundtrack to the film, “Muppet Treasure Island” with John Berry on the track, “Love Led Us Here”.
During that same year, she released the single, “Full Deck of Cards” which managed to peak at #90 on the country music charts in Canada. The song was supposed to be featured on Helen’s sophomore album, “West of Yesterday”, but for unknown reasons, the album was never released.

In 1998, Helen moved to Austin, Texas to focus on songwriting and her family. In 1999, Reba McEntire recorded her song, “The Angels Sang” for her Christmas album, “The Secret of Giving: A Christmas Collection”. During that same year, Helen was signed to the Extreme Writers Group as a staff writer and would later sign with Giant Slayer Music Publishing.

During the 2000s, she wrote songs for artists such as Mindy McCreary, Little Big Town, Nikki Horner, Gary Burr and Jo Dee Messina on her song, “Bring On the Rain” which became a number-one hit on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in 2001.
In 2003, Helen released her sophomore album, “Who Am I Tonight” independently. Eight years later, she followed up with the album, “Circus Town” in 2011. These days (according to research), she appears to still be involved in songwriting. She also splits her time between Montana and Texas with her husband and two sons.
