Brooke began singing when she was 3 years old and her parents began entering her in pageants. She later began playing the guitar and clarinet. When she was 10 years old, she co-wrote a song for the DARE program called “The DARE Song” and later started singing at DARE rallies all over Texas along with being a youth sponsor & spokesperson for the program.

In 1997, Brooke won four gold medals in the World Championships of Performing Arts. Her win at the competition led to her appearing on talk shows such as Jenny Jones and Maury Povich.

tasmin archerTasmin Archer (born on August 3, 1963 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England) is an English female pop\rock singer from the ’90s.

After graduating from the Grange Upper School, Tasmin worked as a sewing machine operator. In 1980, she attended Bradford College to study typing and later became a clerk at Leeds Magistrates’ Court.

Tasmin later joined a music group called Dignity as a backing vocalist and played in various bands around Bradford. She helped out at a recording studio called Flexible Response and began working with musicians John Beck & John Hughes as The Archers. In 1990, she signed a record deal with EMI Records.

In fact, EMI Records weren’t quite supportive of the material that Tasmin recorded for the album, calling it too uncommercial and removed from the sound of her first album. It took almost a year for John Archer & John Hughes to convince EMI executives to get the album released in the way that they wanted it to be.
onemorenightThe only single from the album to chart was “One More Good Night With the Boys” which managed to peak at #45 on the U.K. Singles chart.
sweetlittletruthThe follow-up single “Sweet Little Truth” flopped. Due to disagreements with the label, Tasmin left EMI and took a break from the music business, but she pursued other activities such as painting & moulding clay.

During that same year in an interview, Tasmin said that she & John Hughes were pursuing opportunities to write for television & film soundtracks. Since then, they have provided work on various television shows including the British soap opera “Eastenders.”

These days, it appears as if Tasmin is still continuing with her music career, but it’s unknown whether or not she’ll release a new album in the near future.
