Cheyenne Kimball

cheyenne kimballCheyenne Kimball (born Cheyenne Nichole Kimball on July 27, 1990 in Frisco, Texas) is a former pop/rock singer from the 2000s.

Cheyenne first began songwriting when she was only 8 years old. By the time she was 12 years old, she learned how to play the guitar and wrote nearly 200 songs. She also began booking her own shows at local nightspots in north central Texas.

In 2003, Cheyenne appeared on the NBC network show “America’s Most Talented Kid” and won the competition. After that, she was signed to a multi-record deal with Sony/Epic Records, but it wasn’t until early 2005 that she began working on her debut album.

In order to help promote the album, Cheyenne had her own television show on MTV called “Cheyenne” which aired in May of 2006. The show chronicled Cheyenne working on her album and balancing her life as a normal teenage girl.
hanging onDuring that same year, she released her debut single “Hanging On” which managed to peak at #53 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #29 on Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40 chart. Cheyenne also appeared on the soundtrack to the film “Aquamarine” with the track “One Original Thing.”
the day has comeIn July of 2006, Cheyenne’s debut album “The Day Has Come” was released. The album peaked at #15 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 40,000 copies during its first week. In Canada, it peaked at #28 on the album charts and was also certified Gold.

Also during 2006, Cheyenne performed at the Thanksgiving Day Parade singing the song “Four Walls” which was released a single in January of 2007; it’s unknown how if the single charted at all, but the song would later be covered by Miley Cyrus for her album “Breakout.”

In February of 2007, she performed live at the Pro Bowl and another track from her album “Mr. Beautiful” was released as a single in Canada only.

In 2008, Cheyenne put her solo music career on hold and joined country music band Gloriana. In July of 2011, she left Gloriana for unknown reasons. Since then, it appears as if Cheyenne had left the music business; in August of 2017, she gave birth to her daughter, Nico.

In June of 2018, she posted on her Instagram account about expressing interest in returning to music, but it’s currently unknown when it will happen.

She is the daughter of singer/actor Pat Boone and Shirley Foley Boone (who is the daughter of country music singer Red Foley).

At the age of 14, Debby began touring with her parents and sisters (Cherry, Lindy and Laury). The Boone sisters first recorded with their parents as The Pat Boone Family.

The sisters later recorded as the Boones or Boone Girls where they recorded gospel music, but they released singles on Motown and Curb Records of secular pop music with Debby as the lead singer.

They managed to chart on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart with a remake of the Supremes’ song “When the Lovelight Starts Shining Through His Eyes” (which peaked at #25 on the chart) and a remake of ABBA’s song “Hasta Mañana” (which peaked at #32 on the chart).

When Debby’s older sisters got married and her younger sister went off to college, Debby was encouraged by music producer Mike Curb to start a solo music career.
