The first single from the album “Victim” didn’t appear to make the Billboard charts at all. The title song was released as a single, but didn’t make the charts either.

The last single from the album “(Can’t) Get You Out of My System” peaked at #27 on Billboard’s Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 13 weeks.

After that, it seems as if John faded into obscurity, but according to a YouTube comment, it appears that he passed away sometime in the early ’90s.
