Shae Jones (born on July 27, 1978 in Kansas City, Missouri) is an R&B singer from the ’90s.

She was discovered by R&B singer Montell Jordan, who liked that she didn’t having a singing voice that sounded like someone else.

Shae was originally Montell’s background singer, and did studio work and and demos for him. After signing a record deal with Uptown Records, she began recording her debut album in 1998.
In 1998, she released her debut single, “Talk Show Shhh!” which peaked at #88 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #17 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 20 weeks. It was featured on the soundtrack to the film, “Ringmaster.”
On January 26, 1999, she released her debut and only album to date, “Talk Show” which peaked at #43 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart and #16 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart.
The follow-up single from the album, “Bad Boy” (featuring Ja Rule) peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot R&B Singles chart.
The last single, “Everytime” peaked at #11 on Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot R&B Singles chart. Afterwards, she was released from her contract with Uptown Records.

During the 2000s, Shae wrote songs and provided vocals for artists such as Sisqo, Whitney Houston, Boyz II Men, Tamia, Lil’ Mo, LaTanya and Jersey Ave. She was also featured on the Phil Collins tribute album, “Urban Renewal” on the track, “Something Happened on the Way To Heaven.”

These days (according to research), Shae lives in Las Vegas, Nevada where she works as a certified health and life coach as of 2018.
