Ashley began singing when she was 2 years old and had her first live performance when she was 5 years old. When she was seven years old, Ashley opened up for the late James Brown at a local county fair. She also appeared on “Star Search” where she won three times and sang for the President of the United States twice.
By the time she was 12 years old, Ashley was signed to Atlantic Records. In 1999, she was featured on the soundtrack to “Pokemon: The First Movie” with the song “It Was You.” She was also featured on the soundtrack to the film “Center Stage.”
In 2000, she released her debut single “Hottie” which peaked at #39 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Top 40 chart and #30 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles chart by the next year.
Ashley’s debut album “Get in the Booth” was scheduled to be released in 2001, but it was never given an official release although promotional copies of it were released.
After that, not much was heard from Ashley until February of 2013 when she released two EPs: “Epic Love” and “Loveless.” These days, it appears as if she is still active in the music business.
