Goddess was a Dutch dance music act from the ’90s that was put together by producers Rob and Ferdi Bolland, and was fronted by singer Elvira Valentine (born on January 28, 1962).

Elvira began her career as a backup vocalist for artists such as Falco and Joe Cocker. She was later part of the music duo Say When!
In 1992, Goddess released their only studio album, “The Sexual Album” on Big Beat Records which didn’t make the charts.
The lead single, “Sexual” peaked at #74 on the Billboard Hot 100, staying on the chart for 10 weeks.
The follow-up singles from the album, “In My Bed” and “Je T’Aime” didn’t make any impact on the charts.

Between 1993 and 1994, Goddess released the singles: “Get Loud (Racism Beat It)”, “Spirits in the Night” and “Tapdancer (I Wanna See You Mooove”) which failed to attract any attention.

By 1994, Goddess had disbanded. Afterwards, Elvira was a member of the music duo, Club Risque. In later years, she died of cancer.
